There are many factors exerting potential impacts on children’s development, such as family and outside. Personally out of home is of greater importance.
Admittedly, parents are the first instructor for their children in playing a key role model. As is known, a family is the place where children get started to be informed of the world. In addition, a child can master a language by copying from everyday communication among families and language-oriented activities such as storytelling in their childhood.
However, outside-of-family makes greater contribution to children’s growth. First of all, school education comes first, especially from qualified and professional teachers who aim to develop intelligence through scientific and effective curriculum. Parents, in contrast, are less competent and experienced in teaching. So school teachers are more advantageous and influential in terms of instructing and interpreting knowledge academically.
Another bigger influence is mass media. It is an external factor affecting children’s development. For example, the internet is an easy access for children to get exposed to numerous data online. As a result, they, lack of an ability to distinguish right from wrong, are more likely to imitate violence and being offensive. Instead, what politeness and rules have been taught and emphasized often by parents at home has become not important at all.
In conclusion, outside elements such as teachers in school and media in public influence children more for the reasons that they have incomparable effects on academic performance and children’s behaviors. |
